The past few years my skin has been pretty darn good. No need to use any crazy cleansers on my face; just a swipe with a Olay cleansing cloth. But recently my skin has been pretty blah. Between the flights and hotel stays I constantly find myself on, the stress of a move and a new job, AND a not so great eating schedule…my skin is taking a beating.

My skin is lacking the glow is it usually has and I have had some minor pimples (but any pimple is a bad one). Regular spot treatment isn’t cutting, I needed an overhaul. So I stopped into Nordstrom for some help. The woman at the counter was super nice and helpful (plus she gave me a ton of free samples) Here is what I got (lots of MD Skincare, its the best!)…

Also got a sample of Prevage which feels amazing on the skin (better feel that way for the cost), I purchased Barielle Eye Cream ( to lose any dark circles or puffiness), Keihls #1 lip gloss and I got a really refreshing toner spray by Booth’s its loaded with fruit enzymes and feels oh so tingly.

I am suppposed to see results in about 2 weeks, so I will let you know if my skin improves.

There was once a day when I only used designer/ dept. store mascara, I mean all of my other cosmetics are from the department store or MAC- so why shouldn’t my mascara. I used Dior, Chanel, and the likes. Until (months and months ago) Want, Need, Have introduced me to Maybelline Lash stylist. I had my doubts, but it was dirt cheap so why not.

My lashes were instantly longer and nice and separated (just how they are supposed to be). I also find it VERY amusing that other cosmetics companies are following suit and creating these lash comb wands. From the very expensive to the very cheap.

Well, foolish me for always wanting to try something new. I paid waaay too much for these L’OREAL Volume Shocking mascara. The interesting tube drew me in, and the fact that it had a regular wand and a comb. So I figured this has to be good. Right? WRONG!! The regular comb has some foolish white base formula (and I not convinced it actually does anything at all). The when you comb on the black its gets all unruly and clumpy.

Moral of the story. Stick with what you know… Maybelline Lash Stylist.

If you thought those jodpher leggings I blogged about were ugly! Get a load of these… Daryl K what have you done. Its sad to see a trend come along that no one really wanted anyway, but them we reluctantly accept it and spend out hard earned cash on it. THEN the designers feel they need to reinvent the wheel and get all creative. Makes me sick! I am not the only one that was sick, check out my friends reaction to these when I showed her ( I am the IM in red).

LaROK Plaid Silk Charmeuse Dress- How cute is this dress!!! Layered it over black tights are dark blue wash skinny jeans. I can even it see with the new Daryl K Leg warmers (which I must have–and now!)

Elisanero Buckle Moto Cowboy Boots- These boots are the ultimate in fabulous! Seriously I need these boots. Every year I have a lust boot that I can work into every outfit and I know these are it. Last year it was Michael Kors, year before Marc Jacobs…This year could be the year of Elisanero.
Michael Kors Chain Trouser Belt – Hello sexy. Nothing like a sexy belt to jazz up any outfit. This major piece of hardware is going to be in my closet.
Sonia Sonia Rykiel Sequin Tee– Disco queen fever. I am not typically a fan of “riduclous use of sequins” on an article of clothing. But Sonia manages to pull it off and makes me want to full out my credit credit.

After having a dissapointing week and a day of wandering around/ dealing with car troubles; I stumbled upon a store called Ulta. Saw from the street that it was loaded with cosmetics so I figured whats the harm in stopping in.

They have EVERYTHING!! From more Sephora-esque cosmetics like Hard Candy, Urban Decay, to their own store brand (which was buy one get one free) not to mention Salon Haircare, designer fragrances, a massive nail polish department, Go-smile, and the best part Drug-Store cosmetics too.

I left with an awesome case of Bed Hair eyeshadows ( eight delightful fall colors) and my can’t live without Olay Daily Facials. I suggest checking this store out if there is one near you.

Hi. I had a fashion question. is it just me, or did Uggs go out about two years ago???? I’m getting real mad , starting to see them again, for the third season in a row. And is it ok to wear leggings as just pants, or bottoms or whatever? is it completely necessary to wear a dress or skirt or tunic or whatever on top? I love the style. But I’m trying to be different here. My family said I look like a mime when I wore them plain. Can you put a comment on my blog? I have a pair of leggings,and I want to find a creative way to wear them before they go out of style.

No, its not just you. Uggs are popping up all over the place and it makes me SICK. They are NOT in style, don’t believe what anyone tells you. I actually saw a red pair at T.J. Maxx!! Bleck! Bad, bad, bad.

Leggings. Want to wear ’em plain huh? Unless you are really tiny and have a large sum of style, I know say no. If your family says you look like a mime, they might be on to something. My concern is that if you have any traces of an ass you run the risk of looking like Peg Bundy.

A nice alternative is black skinny jeans OR leggings that have an interesting detail at the bottom ( I have seen some cute ones that go a bit wider at the bottom with button details). Then they can fly as pants.

Side note- Leggings and mini skirts are SOOOOO over ( it looked terrible from the jump) To not look like a fool in leggings- go with layering under shorts, mod mini dresses, and tops that cover at least half of your ass.

I hate to piggyback off others strokes of genius, but Closet Therapy blogged about this style planner and I had to pass the word. Sure its a bit pyscho to plan your outfits this way, but for me who is traveling quite often this would be totally helpful to me. Plus its only $8 for a 40 page notebook.

I have much love for Marc Jacobs- he is my favorite designer and has been for years. BUT! What happened at this Spring ’07 fashion show??? This is not my Marc! Everything was dull and drab. I found one okay outfit out of the bunch, and here it is… What did you all think of the collection?
