Dear Fashion Kitty, Kristen Davis’ glasses

I have searched everywhere, but can’t seem to find what brand of glasses Kristin Davis wears in SATC the movie, at the Christies action. Do you know by any chance? I have sent a picture with this mail so you know which ones I mean.

I am not 100% on this one but they look like Prada to me! The Sex and the City book that has all of the fashions fails to mention the designer of these glasses. Readers, anyone know exactly who they are?

These looks strikingly similar and we know Charlotte loves Prada.

About Acne

Thank you Jonny, co-founder of Acne, for being the force behind Acne. In 1997 he was inspired to create one hundred pairs of jeans for friends, family and clients. This spawned into what we now know as Acne, a brand that has rocketed to the top of the a-list celebrities’ most-wanted denim. Acne has received 5 awards for design, including some of the most coveted Elle’s “Designer of the Year” and “Denim Designer of the Year”; which is amazing considering Acne started as a branding company!

About Staerk

Danish born Camilla Staerk began her design career in London, where she was dubbed by British Vogue “a future star.” Top Shop (London’s version of H&M) has awarded her their New Generation Award three times. She has since relocated to New York, introducing new, more American ideas to her clothes, while maintaining her “Staerk-ness.” Inspired by suburban America in the early 1990’s, Walk With Me, her Spring/ Summer 2008 collection, is Camilla Staerk’s first official American collection. Drawing ideas for colors and silhouettes from a high school girl’s wardrobe, this collection plays with innocent colors mixed with restricting fabrics. An unexpected blend of textures and shapes brings a womanly air to this girlie collection.

Trend Alert: Lace Lust

PUMP DENTELLE from DSQUARED2 retails for $770.00 USD

Gweneth Paltrow with her latest love of micro-mini dresses has been showing off a slew of new shoe and fashion trends.

The latest trend that she has uncovered is the usage of lace. Gwennie added the smallest touch (which was just enough) of the trend with these hot shoes from DSQUARED2. The pumps work perfectly with her little black dress by adding a touch of class and tons of sex appeal.

I am kinda obsessed with the DSQAURED2 booties myself but obviously they wouldn’t have worked for Paltrow’s outfit. I am thinking I could wear the booties with leather leggings, a white tank, a leather biker jacket and a tiara (no joke).

Anways … enough about my dream outfit and on to the hot trend. Wear a little lace or a lot but just know however you wear it you will be one super-stylish kitten.

Dear Fashion Kitty, Summer scarves

So, I have been seeing people wearing the big scarves lately. You know, the ones that make an upside down triangle. What I want to know is what do I wear WITH one of those scarves and where is the best place to buy one?

Summer scarves are just about the hottest trend of the moment. You can pretty much wear them with anything to update your look. What I suggest is to keep your outfit basic and semi-hipster. I would go with a plain tank top or tee, skinny jeans, and flat shoes. Don’t wear earrings and obviously necklaces are a no-no too. If you want to add any other accessories, a few bracelets will do the trick.

The best place to buy them (in my opinion) is vintage stores. When you go vintage you get the most unique prints and won’t end up spending a lot of money. If you aren’t into vintage you get them online at places like Shopbop. If you are offline, a great place for a deal on these scarves is Forever 21. As much as I hate that place I did end up finding a cool one for really cheap.
