Top 5 Ways to Score a Designer Deal Online

Sure I spend a lot of time deal hunting by foot but scoring a great deal doesn’t have to involve taking a trip out to the outlet malls. There are deals to be found right in the privacy of your own home. In fact, I do a lot of online shopping for myself and for my clients. I’ve got a handful of tips that will help you find the best deals online …

1.) Sign up for sale alerts. ShopStyle is my best friend. It’s probably my #1 online shopping tool. One of the best features they have is their sale alerts. Check out their sale alerts page and sign up for daily email notifications on your favorite brands. This feature is life changing.

2.) Visit the Outnet … daily. I love the Outnet. It’s Net-a-Porter’s inexpensive little sister. This is the chicest home to designer clothing for less. Added bonus their shipping is super-fast, everything is packed perfectly, and the returns are easy as pie.

3.) Spend hours on Yoox. Price wise, Yoox has the best deals on the internet. The only kicker is that there is a lot of merchandise so it can literally take hours to find exactly what you want. It ends up being totally worth it though. When they have sales, they are crazy good sales. Like 90% off sales. You can only buy 7 items at a time, so choose your pieces wisely.

4.) Search for coupon codes. I never ever check out of a shopping cart with looking for a coupon code. Google for a discount code or head over to Retail Me Not for the latest coupon codes to almost any shop on the web.

5.) Try eBay. Poor eBay gets a bad rep sometimes but this is a deal-hunters paradise. I got a brand new, tags attached, real (I had it authenticated) $2200 YSL Muse bag for $600. That turned me into a believer.

Those are my top 5 but how do you score a deal online? I’m always looking for new ways to save.
