Questions Answered!

Dear Fashion Kitty,

If you wear suspenders with a suit do you also wear a belt?

Dear Mr. Suspenders,

In a word. No! Unless of course you would to look like those two doofuses pictures above. In fact, I was just laughing about such a fashion disaster the other day. Give me one good reason why you need both. Let’s trace back to the function of each piece. They are used to hold up your pants, using both won’t make them stay up any better now will they?

Perhaps those unfilled belt loops are just killing you, the agony of seeing your belt loops not being used to their full potential. But you have been warned, resist the urge to slide a leather belt through those loops. When people are pointing and laughing you will know why.

Rickety Rack

Nordstrom is my favorite department store, where else can you find some of the hottest brands without the snotty sales people. Plus you can also get great deals, between the B.P section (trendy clothes) and if you can find one in your town a Nordstrom Rack. Rickety Rack is my pet name for it.

Well I stopped in today. Just to see if there were any deals, the place is hit or miss like the Teej (pet name for T.J Maxx) But today I hit the jackpot. Seriously- jackpot. I know I could have found more items had I had more time.

Here is the run down on what I got….

2- Hip little jackets by Sashimi (some teeny bopper brand I am sure) for a cool $19.95 each Originally $48. Something hip to wear with jeans or a skirt. Ruffle details make it nice and girlie.

1- Really cool pair of pants by Tom K Nguyen $64.95 Originally $259. They are black wide leg trousers with
with tiny cream dots, and lace detailed pockets.

1- More pair of cool pants by Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent $54.97 Originally $212. Low rise, wide leg, plaid trousers.

1- Funky metallic tee shirt by Romeo & Juliet Couture $29.97 Originally $88.

1- Rope/ Tassel belt for $8.97 Originally $36
Can we say “deal.” My, oh my I couldn’t be happier now I get to organize my closet! Hurray

Bang Bang Bangles

Bangles are totally in for the spring…Wooden, metal, plastic, or jeweled. Plastic is my choice for spring. In fact, I picked up a bunch of Bangles while I was in New York. Some brown and tan at H&M; pink, black, and white in China Town (talked those vendors down to a nice price 😉

The way to wear them is definitely stacked! It really add a little extra something to your outfit; rather than one lonely little bangle on your arm.

Pick up the zebra and black combo at Delias.com for near nothing at $16.50 OR you are feeling alittle fancier…Chanel, Gucci, Calvin, and Cavalli have some MEGA cute ones.

I Love Nanette

Whenever I see a Nanette Lepore piece my heart skips a beat! Cute, sensible, adorable clothes. If I had a ton of extra cash to toss around I would exclusively wear Nanette to work (well that’s not entirely true- I would miss my other clothes) Point is, I love her stuff. Check out this top! Its a must have. Not to mention if you purchase at Nordstrom you can be that much closer to your Michael Kors candle. Who doesn’t love a bonus??

Couture Couture…Say What!!!

My love hate relationship with Juicy Couture is becoming more and more straining on my emotions. Yes I am sick to death of people abusing their comfy terry sweat outfits, and yes I think they have lost their minds with the silly dog carriers. Not to mention, the charms bracelet, the shoes, and other trinkets!

Now they totally threw me off with this $2,400.00 Jeweled Dress. I say leave the couture to the real designers! Ouch I know, I think I just officially started one Juicy fashion war! Meow…..
