Being a working woman in your 30s is tricky because, at least for me, I was working so hard in my 20’s that I didn’t even realize I entered my 30s. Long hours at the office, equals not a lot of time to shop OR if you are shopping you are still in your 20’s mindset. At 28, I became an entrepreneur, and for years I didn’t have a ton of money to invest in my wardrobe.
Years later, I woke up and realized “Holy shit I am profitable, holy shit I am my brand, and holy shit I am so not the best representation of my brand.” I feel like in your 30s you find yourself and you also find that you don’t look anything like the amazing person you’ve found.
You are moving up in your career, and your look NEEDS to command respect. Style is critical at this age.

Thank you fornall your advice! I’m a divorced mom of 3 in my 30s, and am looking to get back to my stylish roots. I have a fashion conundrum that maybe you can address in one of your videos… I work as an occupational therapy assistant (in healthcare). During the week I’m in a warehouse environment with kits of dust and concrete helping injured workers. On weekends I’m in nursing facilities. I need to be able to bend and move, and wear sneakers to handle the 8 hours of standing on concrete floors… Any ideas on how to look stylish, professional, and not resort to scrubs? Thanks for considering! I appreciate your gift to the world!
