Finding Your Masculine/ Feminine Style Balance

When it comes to style, I wouldn’t classify myself as a “girly-girl.” I actually enjoy masculine pieces a lot more than I do feminine. However, that doesn’t mean I want my style to come off as overly masculine. I’m still a women and love to embrace that side of myself. Most women, to some degree, want to feel/be considered sexy.

So how do you rock masculine fashions without sacrificing your femininity?

This brings us to the question of the day:

I love your videos! I just watched the one about shoes where you are describing how to achieve more masculine look (with loafers, etc.) We are living in times of emphasizing the equality of the sexes, so I am wondering if you could do a video how to dress a little bit like a man but still look feminine and sexy.

LOVE this question!! You ladies are so smart and kick-ass; you all ask the best questions ever – thank you.

Short answer: blend the masculine and the feminine. If you wear something “manly” make sure you tie in a feminine piece or show off your womanly body in some way to balance things out.

Longer answer: Watch today’s video!

Quick tips …

Loafers

A great shoe to “man up” your look. Pair with skinny jeans to keep things nice and feminine.

Motorcycle Jacket

Nothing says “tough guy” better than a moto jacket. There is something very sexy about this “borrowed from the boys” garment. Show a little skin, pair it with lace, or team it up with heels to soften the look.

Suited

I love a suit on a woman. Plunging necklines and heels definitely help sex things up.

Menswear Inspired Tailoring

Adding a pop of lace and showing a little skin helps this masculine style work for women.
