How to Properly Clean Your Jeans

When I first learned about this style trick, I’ll admit I was a little skeptical. Washing your jeans without water?! Whaaat?? If you think about it, it actually makes sense. Unless your jeans are stained, denim is pretty sturdy and doesn’t actually get dirty enough to warrant a full wash. Plus over-washing your jeans can lead to fading, material breakdown, and a compromised fit. If you wear raw denim, washing your jeans with water isn’t even an option for at least 6 months.

So how do you clean them? The answer is actually in your kitchen. It’s called your freezer. Pop your jeans in the freezer overnight and wake up to fresh (and very cold) jeans. If you have a “fragrant” freezer, zip them up in a plastic bag for protection.

I’ve tried this trick and it actually does work. The cold temperatures kills odor causing bacteria and makes those jeans super fresh.

Have you ever tried to freeze your jeans? Tell me how it went down on my Facebook page.
