I started this morning out with some good old fashioned TV fun! KTLA invited me on the show this morning to do a segment on DIY Halloween costumes as found on Pinterest.
Two things you should know going in … 1.) I am total geek for holidays, so this was right up my alley 2.) I LOVE Pinterest.
I re-created the most popular costumes on Pinterest, gathered up a few of my School of Style students as models, and got to crafting! Special thanks to JoAnn Fabrics, Overstock.com, American Apparel, and Big 5 Sporting Goods for the providing the tools to create these DIY costumes.
Look at me on the lot rocking my Prabal Gurung tank from The Outnet, Vince leather pants from TJ Maxx, and Saint Laurent booties from Marshalls!! Designer deals galore.
Lights, camera, action!
First up, the Bubble Gum Machine. Take a basic black camisole, cover it with pom-poms, add a bright red skirt and add a felt coin slot. Done and done.
The Little Mermaid and Baby Scuba pretty much had me dead from cuteness. Full instructions for the baby here and for the mermaid here.
Dunkin’ Donuts might be my favorite costume ever! So easy to make and fun to wear. Get the look here.
I’d actually wear these two out in public because they are pretty darn stylish. Skeleton tee and a spider web cape.
And for the lovers of adult beverages … Jack and Coke.
