A Runner’s Guide to Glam Gear

Confession time! I’ve always wanted to be a runner but sadly I am not (I run when chased). I tried to be a runner more than once actually and each time it ends in disaster. The first time is when I joined the track team and the second time I was out of my mind (I woke up at 6am everyday and “ran” aka ran for 2 blocks and walked the rest of the way).

So why am I writing a post about running gear? Because the rest of the world runs without catastrophe and a ton of my clients request chic running gear while I’m out shopping for them. So I decided to share my tips on how to look glam while getting your run on.

Running Shorts

The cool thing about being a runner is that you get to wear those . When it comes to shorts, I say the more wild the pair the better. Skip the basic black and try a chic striped pair instead. And why not? You earned those killer legs pounding the pavement didn’t you? Yes you did so show them off. I didn’t so I am sporting, which is also a fabulous option for when it’s a little chilly out.

Lace-Up Some Stylish Sneaks

Another win for runners is the shoes! The glorious, glorious shoes. Take the style up a notch or five with bright colored or patterned shoes. I like to pretend I am a running with my. They are lightweight, comfortable, and stylish – suitable for all my glam running girls.

Only The Best Bras

Wearing a proper sports bra is key when it comes to running. You do not want to go unsupported when you are getting your run on. You all know I don’t do any physical activity without my Techfit bra, which is tucked underneath my . When it comes to running I also suggest you sport a sports bra that is pretty enough to rock without a shirt – the runners abs deserve to be showcased.

The Finishing Touches

It’s the little things that pull the look together both in a function way and in a fashionable way. I’ve got my clients (and myself) hooked on adidas headbands. They keep your hair out of your face during those long runs and they look good. Double win.
