How to Match Your Wardrobe With Your Workout

Before moving to Southern California (almost 10 years ago) the only workout options out there were running or going to the gym. With LA being so fitness savvy (and with the fitness industry growing more every single day) there are about a million different ways to workout. From yoga to Pilates, barre to pole classes, hiking t0 indoor rock climbing, Tracy Anderson Method to aerial aerobics — I’ve done it all and with each new workout comes a fresh new wardrobe.

The question is how do you decide how to dress for what? It’s simpler than you’d think, just follow my tips and you’ll be sweating in style.

Yoga and Pilates

Can I move in it and do I feel comfortable in it? Should be your first questions. I love a good pair of supportive leggings for both yoga and Pilates. I like knowing that everything is being held in place and I definitely don’t want anything hanging out that shouldn’t be. The Techfit long tights from adidas are great because they have a wider waistband to keep you undergarments from making a public appearance during your practice.

Hiking

When you are going hiking you can keep your attire a little looser. The adidas Ultimate Tee is great because not only is it stylish (in LA hiking is more social than going to a club so you have to look good) but it has a looser fit to keep you cool in the hot Los Angeles sun.
