In the days of social-bragging, everyone wants the best of best when it comes to clothing and accessories. It’s hard not to want a beautiful Chanel bag, Christian Louboutin shoes, or a Hermes cuff when they are flooding your Pinterest board and Instagram feeds. The question is, how do you get those items without a celebrity-sized budget?
I’m here to tell you that it is more than possible. Great designer fashions for less are right at your finger tips, so get ready to score that coveted “it” bag or hot pair of shoes you’ve been dying to own.
Don’t sleep on these discount stores that are right in your neighborhood. I have scored Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Christian Louboutin, Saint Laurent, Celine, and more at TJ Maxx. Marshalls is home to killer shoes from Fendi, Christian Dior, Derek Lam, and Dolce & Gabbana.
Stores like Decades, Luxury Garage Sale, and the likes are the best places to score designer goodies for less. Everything is gently used (and sometimes new) but is sold at a fraction of the price. The selection at stores like these is always fantastic and new inventory comes in daily.
Don’t have a high-end consignment store in your city? Just head to your computer instead. Sites like The Real Real and Tradesy are great options for finding your favorite labels for less.
Don’t forget about outlet stores. My personal favorites are Saks Off 5th, Last Call Neiman Marcus, and the Barneys New York outlet. Take a day off of work, head out to the boonies, and get your shop on! Going during the week is a lot less stressful than weekend outlet shopping.
