Everyone enjoys a good old fashioned fashion hack. As a stylist I LOVE a fashion hack. In fact I depend on them at work everyday. Here are 27 of my favorites that have gotten me out of a jam more than once.

1. Baby powder to remove grease and oil stains from leather and silk (especially useful for handbags)

2. Pumice stones to de-fuzz a sweater

3. Soda to clean your tarnished silver jewelry

4. Chap-stick to fix a stuck zipper

5. Your freezer to refresh a smelly pair of jeans (without washing them)

6. The steam from your shower to remove wrinkles from clothing

7. Double stick tape to hem a pair of pants

8. Old magazines to keep boots upright in your closet

9. Hand sanitizer can help slide on a too snug pair of shoes

10. Salad spinner for dry hand washed clothing (works great for bras too)

11. Hairspray to prevents runs in your tights

12. And of course clear nail polish to fix existing runs

13. For shoes that are too tight, fill them with zip lock bags full of water and freeze

14. Keep your dark wash jeans dark by adding vinegar to your load of laundry

15. Clean patent leather with Windex

18. Irons your clothes with a flat iron
