Here is the thing about working out; it’s a necessary evil. The truth is most of us dread carving out an extra hour of our lives to workout but once all is said and done we look and feel amazing. Personally I couldn’t live without my daily visit to Club Pilates but it doesn’t mean I don’t dread every second leading up to said visit.
But what about your personal style? Don’t you find it odd that in your everyday life you dress one way but during your workout you seem to dress like everybody else? Drive me crazy!
The good news is you don’t have to dress like everyone else during your workouts. You can infuse your personal style into your fitness style. To prove this, I took a classic “Lauren” outfit and translated that look into something I could workout in. Check it out …
Personal Style Profile: Edgy, fashion-forward, and comfortable
Balmain tee-shirt, Chloe patent leather skirt, Armani necklace, Diane Von Furstenberg pumps
Sporty Style Profile: Stylish, bold, comfortable, and edgy
I mimicked the bold print of my Balmain tee shirt with a pair of Adipure 360 Climacool Celebration Shoes in a similar print. These shoes are everything!! They turn heads and they are stylish enough to wear with non-fitness attire.
I channeled my dark and edgy side with a cowl neck (which, PS doubles as a hood) ¾ length top from the Twist collection. Wearing this top makes me feel like cool (like awesome cool) and how many times can you say that about your gym clothes? For the pants, my black Ultimate Three-Quarter Tights are my go-to, as they hold it all in with the help of the higher rise. Plus, the way they are cut makes me feel extra toned.
How do you take your personal style with you to the gym? Is it with a cool pair of shoes, a sporty jacket, or through a stylish gym bag? Let me know in the comments.
