How to Mix Metals

Picture-13 The idea of mixing silver and gold is absolutely crazy to some but for me not doing it is crazy. Keeping gold with gold and silver with silver is one of those old style rules that needs to be tossed out.

So how do you do it? It’s pretty simple …

Stop Caring

Seriously if you are tripping out over looking silly for mixing your metals, then you will end up looking silly. End of story. It’s just jewelry, it ain’t that deep.Mixed metals

Make it Deliberate

Now you can’t wear all gold and throw just one silver piece into the mix, then it looks like you made a mistake when you were getting dressed. In order to successfully pull this look off you need to make it look deliberate. So mix it and mix it good.

More is Better

The more the merrier rule applies when mixing metals. Have a “arm party”, a ring stacking celebration, or whatever weird-o name you care to make up that describes layering accessories. It makes the look much more impactful. hermes bracelets

Have a Type

The metals don’t have to match but the type of jewelry does. For example; if you are going for a bohemian look, keep your jewelry in that same style type. Make sense?

That’s all I’ve got – happy mixing!
