Style Profile: Kerry Washington
One of the things I love about Kerry Washington is the fact that she is a fashion risk-taker. Unlike your typical A-list actress, Kerry isn’t afraid to try new things nor is she afraid to break dress code. Does she always get it right? No. Does she care? Probably not. Why? Well because she’s freaking Kerry Washington/ Olivia Pope from Scandal, that’s why! 
Kerry mixes classic-elegance with fashion-forward pieces for a style that is uniquely hers. After being named People Magazine’s “Best Dressed Woman of 2013” and Vanity Fair dubbed her “Best Dressed in the World” – it’s no wonder designers are practically lining up get their label on this fashionista’s body.
In an interview, Kerry mentioned that she learned about fashion from her friend Tracee Ellis Ross. Some of her favorite designers include Jason Wu, Francisco Costa (Calvin Klein), and Stella McCartney and Christian Louboutins for her go-to footwear. For her every day wardrobe, she prefers Tory Burch, Michael Kors and Proenza Schouler.
While shopping for garments inspired by Kerry Washington be sure to look for fun/flirty pieces but she also appreciates clean lines, amazing tailoring, and minimal accessories (hence her love of Calvin Klein). Ms. Washington isn’t afraid of bright colors, prints, and feminine details but likes to keep a little sexy-sophistication the mix.
