Yep, as soon as Christmas concludes it’s on to that million dollar question. I for one have no idea what I’m doing. Kinda hoping it involves TV and takeout (doing nothing is totally my new favorite thing). However, if something fabulous comes up … my ensemble is ready. Is yours?

Say yes to sequins
Nothing says a party like sequins. Make it a full on party with a sequin dress or have a little soiree with a sequin jacket.
Don’t don a dress …
… If you don’t want to! Just because it’s the biggest party day of the year, doesn’t mean you have to wear a dress. Leather pants, sequin pants, or a menswear inspired suit would totally make a statement on New Year’s Eve.
Paint it red
Red lips = party. Need I say more?
Stand out
Gold, silver, black, and red are like the unofficial “colors” of New Year’s Eve. Shake things up a bit with a bold color. Purple, blue, and magenta are flattering on every woman and would certainly turn some heads.
Flats can be party worthy too
Don’t think you have to kill yourself in heels just because it’s NYE. Flats can look party appropriate too! I love how Net-a-Porter styled this great Carven dress with a chic pair of pointy toe flats.
