Non-Black Shoes to Wear to a Wedding

Q- Hey girl! I had a question … Was wondering if you could give me any tips:) I’m wearing a long sleeve black lace form fitting dress to this wedding, has an open back and falls before my knees. I am trying to figure out what style/color shoe would go best? I love red shoes but I’m not sure if that works and I feel black shoes is too much black? Just thought I would ask a professional!! Thank you:)
A- Let me start by saying kudos for not going with basic black! Even though you can never go wrong with red, there are way more fun options available to you.
My personal favorites right now are blue and maroon. They are perfect colors for fall and will provide an unexpected pop of color to your black dress (people have grown to expect red). Make sure you go with a closed toe or a peep toe – nothing strappy! It is fall after all and because the dress sounds pretty sexy, you want to go more conservative with the footwear.
Bonus styling tip, add a second pop of color with your handbag or your accessories to lighten up the look. You don’t want to look too dark and stormy for a wedding. Know what I’m saying?
