Target Fashion Show + Timeless Beauty Secrets

Last week I was one of 30 bloggers invited to Target‘s top secret fashion show in New York. I dolled myself up in a cute little Target ensemble and topped it off with a bold red lip aka my no-fail, go-to accessory. The whole experience was insane. Let me see if I can fit all of the excitement in this one post. I’ll also tell you how to create your own red lip look using beauty products from Target.

Bold lips are a going to be a huge trend this fall but let’s face it, a bold lip never goes out of style – especially if it’s red.

In the words of Joan Rivers … B*tches stole my look! I wore a pencil skirt and top from Target (which I cropped myself) only to find that the girls from A Fab Life also had the same idea. Hilarious! It was cool to see how we all accessorized the look in a different (but similar) way. Great minds …After waiting in a long line of fabulous, it was time to head into the show. The space was transformed into a Target wonderland. The check-in was designed to look like the check-out at Target. Clever little devils! Show time arrived and Target did not disappoint! The runway was a giant target and the models entered by giant conveyor belts. There were Target dancers and a whole lot of awesome fashion. I was really impressed by the styling. Plenty of layers and mixed prints galore. Can you believe this stuff is from Target?! As I mentioned before it wasn’t just the clothing that had me inspired. I loved the beauty during the show as well, specifically the bold lip trend.I wore this beauty trend to the show and you can recreate it with products from Target.Make-up bag, lipstick, lip liner, and lip brush all by Sonia Kashuk for Target.Getting the look really isn’t rocket science but let me break it down for you …

1.) Line lips in Sonia Kasuk True Red lip liner ($5.99). This will help your lip color last longer. I also like to line a little bit outside the lip line for a plumper looking pout.

2.) Fill them in with the liner. Just color them in and make sure you stay within the lines.

3.) After you are all filled in, smile to make sure you didn’t miss a spot.

4.) Use your lip brush ($7.99) to apply the color– Sonia Kashuk Classic Red ($9.99).

5.) Blot and go over with the tube of lipstick.

There you have it #TargetStyle and red lips for the new season.
