A Fashionable Bathroom Makeover

I don’t know what came over me but out of nowhere I decided that I needed to decorate my bathroom. I’ve had the same bathroom decor for a year and a half – it was time for a change. Giving your bathroom a makeover is inexpensive and does wonders to change the energy in your space. I know, how new age-y does that sound but it’s true. I’m practically skipping into my bathroom every time I go to brush my teeth.

Before:

I won’t say that it was a sad state of affairs before but it was definitely a drab state of affairs. My bathroom decor centered around this framed vintage Christian Dior poster. I decided, at the time, to keep everything else fairly simple. A gray and white striped shower curtain, gray towels, gray rugs, and lucite accessories – the goal was chic but the results were kinda a snooze-fest.IMG_2854

After:

I headed over to Jonathan Adler and fell in love with this shower curtain. Sure it doesn’t quite match my Christian Dior poster but I decided, the heck with it, lets just make this the most fun and kooky bathroom ever.jonathan adler bathroom

The quick visit to Jonathan Adler turned into a full on shopping spree. I bought two rugs, a shower curtain, towels, soap dispenser, toothbrush holder, and a little dish for my rings. I also popped into Marshalls and picked up literally every wall decal they had to make faux wallpaper (that doubles as a chalkboard). My final stop was to Homegoods for more towels and a laundry basket.

I am super stoked with the results. My bathroom is fun, different, and makes me really happy. Hooray!
