Spring Style Report: Pastel Punch

Last spring it was all about neon but for Spring 2013 pastels are making a major comeback. These aren’t your grandmas pastels either – designers were giving pastels a powerful punch by mixing them with bold colors and graphic prints.

I took a few of my favorite runway looks, mashed them up, and styled my own looks for less using pieces I found at Target. Proving that you don’t need to a ton of cash to rock runway-worthy attire.

Look #1: I wanted to combine the edginess of Christopher Kane’s pastel runway look with the lady-like sophistication of Chanel’s Spring 2013 look.

Runway:

Christopher Kane + Chanel

Target Way:

Tweed skirt// White jacket// Striped tee // Necklace // Shoes

Look #2: Soft buttery satins ala Celine mixed with the hard edge and graphic elements that were seen at Balenciaga. A tougher way to wear pastels.

Runway:

Celine + Balenciaga

Target Way:

Satin Dress // Graphic top // Shoes // Clutch // Sunglasses

Look #3: Erdem really worked the pastel trend for spring. Love the girly floral and lace elements but what I love even more is how they managed to make this lady-like look incredibly sexy with peek-a-boo sheers and animal skins.

Runway:

Erdem

Target way:

Skirt // Top // Bra // Shoes // Necklace

Look #4: Pretty pastels paired with bold colors and quirky details as soon on the Prada runway. Oh and course, what spring trend is complete without a peplum.

Runway:

Prada

Target way:

Top // Peplum Skirt // Black tank // Shoes // Sunglasses // Necklace
