Getting Glam for NYFW

I tell ya, the folks at Glam sure know how to make a girl feel special. To kick off New York Fashion Week, Glam invited a few dozen publishers to the Le Parker Meridien’s secret pampering layer (located in the basement) for a day of fitness, beauty, and relaxation.

The day began with an hour long yoga class at Gravity Fitness. Coming from LA aka the land of the green-juice guzzling yogis, I didn’t really know what to expect from a New York yoga class but I was pleasantly surprised. The class was relaxing without being boring and I even learned some great moves that we don’t practice over in La-La Land.

Next on the agenda was lunch aka “hold a plate full of food like an accessory and socialize with other bloggers instead of actually eating” time. It’s not like I didn’t want to eat but it was so fun to actually meet the people I “know” online and to catch up with the friends that I don’t get to see very often as well.

After faux-eating it was nail time at Ten over Ten. My nails were in desperate need (so awful) but the ladies at Ten over Ten hooked my nails up!! I kicked it old school with Chanel Black Satin nail polish. One of the best manicures my fingers have ever experienced.

I didn’t think it could get any better than the yoga-food-nail combo but there was even more in store for us … Dry Bar!

I’d heard plenty of awesome things about Dry Bar but I never considered going there for my own hair. However, there was a very sassy lady with cool-ass hair who was working there so I decided give it a shot. So fun! She styled me out and the end result was pretty darn awesome.

Never one to leave a girl empty handed, Glam sent us away with a glorious tote bag from C Wonder filled with all sorts of beautiful goodies. Thanks, Glam and happy Fashion Week!
