Coming to a TV Near You: Double Divas

Something I always stress upon my clients is the importance of a great fitting bra. I encourage all of my clients (except the men) to get a professional bra fitting. I got one and it changed my life. I thought I was a 36B when in actuality I was a 34C. That small sizing error made a world of difference. It was like getting a surgery-free boob job. Totally amazing.

Something else you should know about getting a bra fitting is that you can’t just go to any schmo off the street. No offense to that very popular lingerie store in the mall (that will go unnamed) but your fittings just don’t cut it. There are actual places that do this and do it well.

One place that does it incredibly well is called LiviRae, which is located in the Atlanta area. They do it so well that they now have their own reality show on Lifetime.

In honor of Lifetime’s newest show Double Divas, here are my most favorite bras:

Stella McCartney// Agent Provocateur// Elle McPherson// Kiki de Montparnasse

Debuting on January 10th at 10pm, Double Divas will go behind the scenes of the popular lingerie boutique, LiviRae. The owners and best friends Molly Hopkins aka the “boob whisperer” and Cynthia Richards aka the “Thomas Edison” of custom lingerie will display their skills helping women with their intimate apparel needs.

If you ask me, any show that has its own “boob whisperer” is totally worth watching. I’ll be tuning in, will you?

This all-new docuseries will offer an eye-opening peek into the world of intimate apparel at Atlanta’s renowned boutique LiviRae Lingerie, where the motto is: “No bust too big or small. We fit them all!” Boasting a hilariously unfiltered cast exuding Southern charm and hospitality, “Double Divas” follows LiviRae owners and best friends Molly Hopkins, the “boob whisperer,” and Cynthia Richards, the “Thomas Edison” of custom lingerie, as they display their natural talent helping women with any and all intimate apparel needs. “Double Divas” premieres on Thursday, January 10, 2013, at 10:00pm ET/PT, following “Project Runway All Stars

  1. I am amazed how many women have never had a fitting! HOW do they know what size bra to buy OR which style works best for their body and boobs?

  2. The brobra was the WORST idea EVER! No man wants to emasculate himself! Honestly I want a bra that helps saggy boobs make that make it look like nothing else now theirs a million dollar IDEA! Thank you from a woman who dosent want to pay for sugery.

  3. I already had this on my DVR list. I saw a commercial about a week ago and instantly added it to my DVR because I really think I will enjoy this show. Besides, Doesn’t hurt to learn how to rangle these DD of mine (if they are not actually larger).

    1. Yes, I’ve heard that 80 or 90% of women don’t wear the right size bra! WHY? A fitting in any department store is FREE!

      1. I’ve been fitted in 4 department stores and each sized me 3-4 sizes too small because they didn’t carry my size HH in their stores.. they aren’t perfect, finding a “Good” fitter is the best..

  4. Sounds like something to watch since I’ve never known my true size and my daughter has become quite a developed young lady

    1. I am surprised to see so many ladies commenting about not ever having a fitting or knowing their size . . . It doesn’t cost anything to be fitted! I get mine done at the local JCPenney’s, but any department store will fit you and also recommend styles of bras for your size too.

    1. Any department store can do it for you and it doesn’t cost anything. I get mine done at the local JCPenney, along with recommendations of which bra would be right for my size. It works wonders and YOU are worth at least that much, right?

    1. Me too! I can’t believe how many comments are posted here from ladies about wanting to get fitted! How do they know what size bra to get if they have never been fitted?

  5. I had the same issue, I always thought I was a size 36B, but when I got fitted and found out I was really a 34C it made a HUGE difference in fit, look and comfort. I was amazed. Another place that does great bra fittings and usually has well educated staff is Nordstroms.

  6. Haha I had a similar experience as you Lauren. I thought for about 6 years now I was a 38C because that was how long ago I was fitted. After recently bra shopping for 2 hours I found out I was a 38DD or the other equivalent 38E. So yes about another hour searching for the bras on sale at extra 50% off in 38DD. OMG the associates loved me later. I got to the mall at 11:30am and and nobody in the mall left at 4pm and everybody and their mother was there. lol

  7. Would love to go and get fitted than be able to buy bras from these wonderful ladies. Unfortunately, that I don’t see it in the near future. Have been fitted many times over and usually still have problems with the bras.
