Rainy Days with Rimmel London’s Stay Glossy

Rainy days are few and far between here in Los Angeles but when we do have one I tend to pull out all the stops! I’m talking umbrella, rain boots, and the perfect trench coat. All LA girls have this gear on hand just waiting for the perfect opportunity to break it out. Lucky for me it’s been raining for the past few days, which makes this week’s style challenge perfect.

Because rainy days are so special and we go all out with the clothes, you know beauty is sure to follow. When it’s all wet and gray outside, there is no need to go full on with the eye makeup (unless its waterproof, of course) – so a bold lip is pure perfection. A bold lip gives you a pulled together look without a lot of effort.

For this look I busted out my rainy day finest … a classic Burberry umbrella, a Gryphon black trench (another classic), my Givenchy rain boots, and studded headband to keep my ears warm from Etsy. Underneath my designer raingear, I have on a cozy Jil Stuart sweater and my most comfortable pair of stretch leopard print jeans.

To achieve my rainy day beauty I used some amazing products from Rimmel London and some the usual suspects from my vanity.

For the face: I started with concealer from Laura Mercier, foundation from Armani and powder from Chanel. Then I warmed up my face with blush from Nars and Rimmel London’s natural bronzer in Sun Glow.

On my eyes: I kept it relatively simple with a touch of shadow from my Rimmel London Thrill Seeker eyeshadow quad. I lined my eyes with Rimmel London’s kohl liner in Black and finished the job with some mascara. I used on coat of Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Show Off and two coats of Dior Show waterproof mascara.

PS- My new mascara routine scored me two eyelash compliments in one day.

And for the lips: My bold lip consists of two Rimmel London Stay Glossy colors – Timeless Allure and Treasure Hunt. I used one layer of Timeless Allure and two layers of Treasure Hunt to create the perfect berry red lip.
