Product Test Drive: Mixed Chicks

If you’re new around here – I’m extremely hair challenged. If it weren’t for my fabulous hair dresser, my head would have been shaved a long time ago. I never know which products to use, which tools will burn my hair off, or how to work hair accessories … I am no hair expert BUT I do know when something works when I try it.

An added challenge I have (aside from being totally clueless) is that I have mixed hair. My hair is a combination of thick Cuban/Caucasian hair and African American hair. I never know what to use. So you know I was excited to find out that products for mixed hair actually exists. What makes it’s existence even better is that it’s available at Target!!!

I went by Target and picked up a few items; Mixed Chicks sulfate free shampoo, Mixed Chicks conditioner, and Mixed Chicks deep conditioner. Hooray!

Here is the verdict: Awesome.

Loved the light fragrance, the texture, and most importantly the values that go along with Mixed Chicks products. Meaning – no sulfates, and no testing on animals. All that technical business aside, at the end of the day my hair was soft and clean. That is what it’s all about.
