Marshalls Fashion-Face Off Luncheon

For those who know me personally, know that I am an extremely competitive person. In fact, I took a career assessment test called StrengthsFinder that found “competition” as my #1 strength. With that being said I am super-pumped about being a part of the Marshalls Fashion Face-Off Blogger Challenge.

What is the Marshalls Fashion Face-Off Blogger Challenge? It’s an awesome styling competition that spans over the next 8 weeks and I want you all to follow me on this journey. My challenge will be to style 4 different outfits using key trend pieces from Marshalls. As an OG Marshalls shopper and as a stylist – this challenge is right up my alley.

To kick off the program I was invited to a special New York Fashion Week luncheon with my competitors; High Fashion 4 Less, Skimbaco Lifestyle, Swa-Rai, and What the Frock. We ate fancy food … well they did (I am that whacky LA girl that got the vegan-gluten free not on the menu food) and chatted like girlfriends. Then the spirit of competition came out with a little game of White Elephant.

Ever play White Elephant? I won’t bore you with the explanation but by the end we all had a fabulous designer handbag from Marshalls. My gift was a fabulous current season DKNY leather and calf hair clutch – retail price $215, Marshalls price $99.99. Score!

I was already excited about getting back home to start shopping for the first styling challenge (create an outfit featuring booties) but that designer handbag deal was an extra blast of excitement.
