The Kicker: I took my friend and client shopping for her birthday. We cruised into Last Call and to our surprise there was a designer pre-sale in session. Score.What is the first thing we spot? Chanel pumps in a size 7 1/2. Double score.

We slid into the roped off pre-sale area only to find that some other girl is trying them on! Turns out they weren’t her size and she passed them off to their new rightful owner, my pal Sayeh.

There wasn’t an extra discount on the marked sale price of $945 but that’s okay considering finding Chanel on sale is like spotting a unicorn in a grocery store. Hence our pet name for the shoes … magical unicorn shoes.
