I like to consider myself an organized person. I’m not OCD organized or anything but a cluttered mess and me don’t exactly mix. Actually, other people say I am extremely organized – so I must be doing something right.
When it comes to keeping things organized, for me, I have to have everything visible. If I can’t see it, I forget I own it, which means I don’t use it and therefore I waste money.
I am lucky enough to have an entire room devoted to my wardrobe and beauty needs so I have it all spread out. We’ll stick to beauty today, so here are a few tips on how I keep organized.
1.) Purge- Get rid of all the old cosmetics first. If you can’t remember the last time you used it or more importantly when you bought it. Toss it!
2.) Separate- Divide your cosmetics into two categories; the makeup you wear everyday and the fun special occasion makeup.
3.) Display- I set my makeup out on a large faux snakeskin tray. That way I can see everything and it’s all totally easy to access.
It’s that simple. Just make sure you repeat the steps often because it’s way too easy to let the cosmetics pile up and get out of hand.
