I have to say that J. Crew is totally my new favorite store. Seriously. J. Crew has had some amazing new tricks up their sleeves as of late and I’m loving it. In fact, over the past few weeks I’ve been welcoming some new J. Crew pieces into my wardrobe. I’m super pumped about it too. So pumped that I have to share …
First addition are these amazing toile pants (PS- they are totally on sale now). The colors were so wrong they were right. I whipped up a sweet little outfit for them too.
How I wore it: I rolled up the pants to expose the yellow details underneath. Plus the preppy hem just wasn’t doing it for me. I paired the pants with a Proenza Schouler off the shoulder sheer over sized tee. Underneath the tee, I sported a tan tank from H&M. I desperately need a pop of color, so I added some purple Dolce & Gabbana shoes for the total wow factor. Some fun jewelry completed the look.
My second addition was another pair of crazy pants. These again, were so wrong they were right. I mean, floral camo … who does that? Apparently I do.
How I wore it: I went rock and roll with these. For the top I wore a sheer-ish Alexander Wang underneath a black blazer with leather trim from Kill City. I worked in a little pattern mixing with leopard print pumps. Edgy jewelry and a smokey eye finished off this look.
My final addition was purchased today. I had been eying this one for a while and just had to act on the urge. A plaid school boy blazer isn’t something I would usually wear but this one was calling my name. Perhaps it was the black leather elbow patches that reeled me in.
How I wore it: I haven’t wore it yet but I did try it on with what I wore today and it looked fab! It was all in the accessories really … My wide brimmed Rag & Bone gray felt hat and Fiorentini and Baker boots. These unexpected accessories took this jacket right out of preppy land and into Lauren land.
My next J.Crew purchases will definitely be from the jewelry department. Every time I wear jewelry from J.Crew I get a ton of compliments and their stuff right now is looking pretty fab! Until next time …
