Stylish Sneakers

I am a heels girl to the core but with everyday that passes, the necessity for comfortable shoes increases. The truth is, I spend a lot of time on my feet. Running around town picking up alterations, shopping, and showroom appointments can’t be done efficiently in heels. Don’t get me wrong, they can be done – just not efficiently. I am all about being efficient. The more stops I can make in one day, the happier my clients are.

I’ve noticed that my shoe collection is growing at a nice pace but they number of sneakers hasn’t kept up with the increase. I had to give up my gray Lanvin sneakers because they were way too big for me (why do I buy shoes that don’t fit?). What I am left with is comfortable but not stylish enough for work options. I have a perfectly beat up pair of black Converse, a pair of black patent leather Converse high tops, and a pair of skull print Vans. All cool in there own way but I believe its time for an upgrade. Here is what I’m eying …

Miu Miu Glitter Sneakers- $450. These just make me happy. Talk about a proper use of glitter. I will be picking these up as soon as they come available.

These sneakers by Isabel Marant for $725 are awesome! They have a hidden wedge inside to give your legs that sexy “I’m wearing heels” look. They also have padded ankle and a cushioned tongue for extra comfort. And can we talk about the velcro? Hello! Easy on and off for added convenience.

Sure the $725 price tag is pretty brutal but all the secret bells and whistles make it all worth it. Plus, do you realize how much wear they would get? I know I’ve spent a stupid amount on heels that I only end up wearing a c0uple of times.

Lanvin sneakers are the ultimate in designer sneakers. They aren’t cheap at almost $600 but to me they are worth every penny. I’ve seen them for cheap at places like Neimans Last Call Outlet and at Decades Two on Melrose Ave.

I am currently on the hunt for a pair that fits me. I, like a dumb ass, passed up a pair of leopard print Lanvin sneakers at the Neimans Outlet. I was trying to be sensible with my money. Every time I do that, I always end up regretting it.

And finally, the totally unnecessary … a pair of Christian Louboutin sneakers for $2,395. Now that’s an expensive pair of sneakers. Makes the Isabel Marant ones seems like chump change at $725.  I actually prefer the Christian Louboutin studded sneakers at $835 to these $2,400 pair. I just felt like shocking you all with a pair of sneakers that costs more than my rent.
