Lauren’s Top 10 Fashion Magazines

Nothing makes me happier than peeling open a fashion magazine to check out the latest editorial stories.  Sure I could pick up a Vogue or an Elle in line at the grocery store (I sometimes do) but it just won’t serve up the crazy concentrated amount of fashion that I crave. When I need my extreme fashion fix I whip out the big guns …

1.) Lush Magazine: I found this Canadian fashion magazine at my favorite newsstand and just had to pick it up. This luxury fashion mag is jam packed with edgy editorials and there is barely an ad in sight. The price isn’t too bad either at $8.95 an issue.

2.) Indie Magazine: The Independent Style Magazine aka Indie Magazine won me over with the first issue I picked up. I love the spreads in the magazine; they are fashion forward and pretty wearable too.  Be sure to check out their current issue on their site.

3.) Interview Magazine: This one of the select few magazines that I actually subscribe to. The fashion is fantastic and the interviews are always interesting. Plus, I think Karl Templer is a genius.

4.) Pop Magazine: Some of my favorite editorials of all time come from Pop Magazine.  Always insanely unique styling with a fun mix of top models and celebrities.

5.) Prim: I didn’t let the $23 an issue price tag scare me because I knew what I saw inside would be worth every penny. Looking through this magazine was the equivalent of walking through an art gallery.

6.) Oyster: Definitely not your average fashion magazine but every issue is like a new interestingly pleasant surprise.

7.) Numero: I think this quote I found best describes this international fashion magazine .. “I was bored with magazines that told me how to seduce a man. I wanted to create this magazine for an intelligent, smart woman who wants to read about art, design, music: not about stupidity – creams that take away wrinkles, you know, which is stupid.” — creator of Numero.

8.) Russh Magazine: I just recently discovered this Australian fashion mag and am totally hooked! It’s a definite must read.

9.) Another: Want high fashion? Want sick photography? Then you want Another. If you want men’s fashion, then definitely check out Another Man. Both fantastic magazines.

10.) Tokion: I LOVE this magazine!! For some reason I can’t find their website anymore, it redirects to Inked Magazine. So I’ve linked to their Facebook page. To me, it’s like Nylon magazines cooler big sister.
