So I’ve been to Century 21 (a designer discount store in NYC) before and loved but I loved it on a different level. You see, the last time I went shopping at Century 21 it was like 2004 or something and back then my idea of awesome fashion was totally different than it is today. Then I thought that scoring DKNY and Free People at 90% was the best thing ever. Today my game has stepped up causing me to be like a kid in a candy store … or a stylist (with another stylist, Luke) in a giant department store where high end fashion is up to 90% off!
Also, we totally scored on this Century 21 trip because on top of their already insane mark downs … everything was an additional 50% off. Yep. We went wild!!!!
What did I get for prices so low I can’t even tell you how much was spent because you would be riddled with jealousy?
1.) MM6 by Martin Margiela dress with a sweet outer space print
2.) MM6 by Margiela long sleeved dress knit dress
3.) Alexander McQueen seamed and zippered black pants
4.) Alexander McQueen knit leggings (most comfortable pants ever)
5.) Dolce & Gabbana cream and mesh v-neck sweater
6.) Proenza Schouler white zip front with black leather detail dress (originally $14450, I got it for $103)
7.) Alessandro Dell’ Acqua long sleeved knit top
8.) Coming Soon striped knit top
9.) Rick Owens leggings/ jeans
I also found some amazing stuff that didn’t make the final cut (close but no cigar), including two Maison Martin Margiela dresses, two other MM6 by Martin Margiela dresses, a Vivienne Westwood top, a Lanvin tee, Givenchy leggings, and an Alexander McQueen blazer.
We are arranging our next trip out to NYC to coincide with the next Century 21 sale. The most insane part of it is, that the sale started 3 weeks ago. Can you even image what my closet would have scored if we came on day 1 of the sale? Ugh, my brain can’t even comprehend.
Anyways … off to Barney’s for their sale. Laters 😉
