Haute Holiday Hostess: Dressing for a Party

Q- I will be a guest, but a working one, at an upcoming holiday bash. What do I wear to ensure maximum style with minimum wardrobe mishaps in and around my host’s bar and kitchen ?

A- Great question! You definitely want to look cute and presentable for the party, yourself, and your guests. You also want to be protected against wardrobe malfunctions and overall discomfort. Totally get it.

I always like to go with the first outfit that pops into my mind after I read your questions. What popped into my head was this … A long sleeved jersey mini dress, black tights, boots (for comfort), and a cute apron. I know, aprons are so old school but honestly — I love them and I think parties are the perfect excuse to wear them. I have an awesome one from Hip Hostess and I always wear when I work my own holiday party.
