Quiksilver Party at The Standard Hotel

A few weeks ago, I threw on a crazy little summer outfit (giant vintage shawl thing from Thailand, denim shorts, black tank, studded shoes, Gucci bag, big ass sun hat, vintage Dior sunglasses, and too much gold jewelry) and headed over to  The Standard hotel (downtown LA location) for the Quiksilver party. The party was actually pretty cool. Of course it was mostly filled with (beautiful) Hollywood loser types with over-gelled hair but there were some pretty cool folks there too. Including, super cool blogger Krystal Simpson from What is Reality Anyway?

Some highlights from the party:

– A swimsuit vending machine

– Design your own tee shirt station (I made a cool one, then cut it up to make extra cool when I got home)

– Old school water guns

– Beautiful people

– Cool exhibit with neat-o art and board shorts

Speaking of board shorts. The board shorts are limited edition and correspond to 5 cool destinations: Downtown LA – Art Undercover, Hollywood – Music Musts, New York – Summer in the City, and Miami – Comida is Cuban.

Anyways, thanks to Quiksilver and The Standard hotel for throwing such a cool party.
