Dear Fashion Kitty, Tie & Knot

I’m attending a Scout’s gathering at my school soon and I’m having a major problem! The theme is ‘Tie & Knot’ and I have no clue what to wear! (A few of my friends say wear a tie but how do you work a tie and not look too casual or too formal?) It’s semi-formal and it’s in the evening. What’s even worse, girls in my school are not allowed to wear anything sleeveless and anything above knee-length. I really hope you could help me! Thank you so very much.

That is the strangest theme that I have ever heard! I really have no idea what that means but I guess we should go with what your friends are saying and somehow work a tie into this semi-formal look. Or maybe we can work in a bow instead (you can tie a bow, right!)

Here is a look at I think ties in the masculine aspect of a tie with the more feminine bow. Your knees and arms are covered the way you need them to and I think this look is sophisticated enough for a semi formal event but is pretty fun too. I hope you like it.
