Dear Fashion Kitty, Dress Up My Pink Dress

I’ve been reading your site for about a year and a half, and I love it! Anyway, I was hoping you could help me with a little fashion dilemma. I just bought the JCrew dress below to wear to my NHS induction, but I have no idea what to pair it with! I was thinking yellow patent shoes, but would that be too much color? How should I accessorize it?

Oh, by the way, this is a high school function (I’m sixteen) so I don’t want to be too dressed up. And I’m a little more than 5’11” tall, so any wicked high heels are out for me.

I added a clear belt that will accent your waist without drawing too much attention to the belt. I also incorporated a pin. Since the neckline is high, a necklace would be too much. This adds some drama without going overboard. Finally I tied in the yellow of your flats with this little clutch by Rampage. Hope you have fun at your event.
