Dear Fashion Kitty, Winter Ball

My winter ball is coming up and I need a dress. A semi-formal to formal dress with straps. I really don’t think I can pull off a strapless. I also have a pear-shaped body if that helps. The dress needs to be somewhat affordable.

I was never one for school dances so dressing you up for the dance is going to be fun. For your body type you should definitely go for something that is fitted at the waist and flows out (A-line) from there. This will take the emphasis off of your hips and onto the smallest part of your body.

I styled a few looks for you with some affordable dresses and threw in some accessories that you should be able to find in your own closet or at a lower price point when you go shopping.
