I hate my hair. Seriously, it’s just pain and trauma growing out of my scalp. You see, I am mixed (Mom is Caucasian and Cuban/ Dad is African America) and I didn’t get “the good hair.” My two brothers got soft and easy to manage hair. I got insanely thick, uneven curls. My Mom had no idea how to deal with my hair. She tried relaxers, mayonnaise, olive oil … pretty much whatever she could get her hands on to tame my hair.
When I went off to college I decided that I was tired of doing my hair (relaxers, serums, and flat irons were getting old) — so I got dreads. That was hair bliss right there. I always got compliments on how cool my hair was and I didn’t have to do a thing but wash it. But that bliss couldn’t last forever. So last year I cut them out and went short.
Ever since I’ve gone short I haven’t been able to find the perfect person to keep my short do looking hot. I have tried countless salons in the LA area and was never completely satisfied, until now.
Sunday I went to Chrome in Culver City and loved it!!! Jared was my stylist. He was super-friendly and didn’t butcher me. The price was right too, $50 for a haircut (I think that’s a deal.) Check him out and you won’t be sorry …

Good to know! I’ve got my heart set on relocating to LA within 2 years and what’s my biggest fear? Job, ideal housing? No. What will I do without my stylist, Samara! lol. Your hair sounds a lot like mine, so I am very interested to hear/see your ongoing experience with Jared.
