Stress Management: Bargain Shopping

I am going to let you in on a little secret — I suck at stress management. I know, it’s hard to believe that I suck (insert dirty joke here if you’d like, I know I did) at anything but I do. When stress starts creeping up on me I usually just run off and do something in excess. We don’t need to go into all of the acts of excess that I partake in but I think it’s safe to say that shopping is one of them.

Thank goodness I am an all-star shopper and can shop like a pro without spending a shit-ton of money. Don’t believe me? Let’s check out my weekend damage:

Shoes because a girl can never have too many (I did buy 2 of these last weekend but we can lump them into this spree)…

  • Black and white shoes $8 from Payless, very Marc Jacobs in my opinion
  • Oxford sling backs from Steven for $40
  • Franco Sarto multi-colored sandals from DSW for $10

Total spent- $58

Designer duds, from my trip to the Marc by Marc Jacobs store

  • Marc Jacobs’ Warhol tee shirt $29 and all proceeds go to charity
  • Awesomely massive ring, $36

Total spent- $65

Marshall’s finds, the kind folks at Marshall’s gave me $50 to spend in their Cube department. Post on that trip coming up soon but check out what I got without spending a dime of my own

  • Peace sign tee for $7.99
  • Skull tee for $7.99
  • Madras plaid jacket for $15
  • Shorts for $12.99

Total spent- $0

Finally, I ended my day at Loehmann’s and found some great Rachel Pally dresses for $49.99 each BUT I also had a 20% my entire purchase coupon!

  • Tube dress (got mine in teal)
  • Backless dress (mine is a tiny bit different but same idea)

Total spent- $80

So … how did I do??? Go ahead, tell me how great I am in the comments section.
