Dear Fashion Kitty, Speed dating outfit

I have a question for you. One of my friends (OK, it’s me 🙂 is going to one of those speed-dating events this week. You know, where there’s like 10 dudes and 10 chicks or so and you get to talk to each chick for a few minutes. The question is, what would you suggest wearing for a ‘date’ like this?

Ah speed dating, I thought dates like those only existed on television shows 😉 I would suggest dressing like yourself for starters. Stay away from those douche-bag looking outfit that cause you to spend an unnecessary amount of money. Reason being that if you get lucky and see one of the 10 hopefuls again you will end up looking like a fool if you can’t keep up your “look.” Plus you are only supposed to blow stupid amounts of money on real dates with real people who supposedly already like you.

I suggest wearing a great pair of jeans and a nice top. For dudes, a striped or dark solid button will do the trick. For girls, a top that shows off your best feature … maybe that’s some cleavage (not too much though), your back, or your shoulders (shoulders are always a win).

Also make sure you smile a lot, just stay away from that crazy forced smile and for goodness sake make sure nothing grody is in your teeth.
