Dear Fashion Kitty, Layering Help
I discovered your blog a couple weeks ago and think it’s fab-o. I’ve been thinking about something for a few days and it occurred to me that I should ask your opinion on it as you’re a bit more fashion-inclined than me 😉
I’ve got this teal summer dress (it’s from the Bitten line; one of those little sleeveless jersey numbers everyone was wearing, you know?) and I’ve been thinking about how to make it winter-wearable (I live in Missouri; read: brrrr). I’ve been thinking tights and ankle boots, but I’m unsure about what kind of top to layer under it. I’m thinking turtleneck, but am afraid of being to grandma-y. Your thoughts?

I am seeing a mod look …. black opaque tights, either ankle boots or tall black books, a black turtleneck and an over-sized bag. Kind of like this look that Gwen Stefani is wearing.
Something else you could do is this …. black tights, black shoes, long sleeved black top (black and white stripes would be cute), and a vibrant colored scarf. The scarf will add another dimension to the outfit and keep your neck warm.
