Q- “Oh there’s J in another Spring outfit!” My mother. Sighing.

Everyday for the past 2 weeks. I can’t help myself. It’s jussst getting warmer where I live, and I’m busting out some lighter colors, a few florals and, gasp! White before Labor Day.

I’m trying to improve my mood. Cyber school drab fab, anyone? I guess jumping the gun on Spring fashion isn’t the worst thing you could do, right? Here’s where you come in. I need help with transitioning from Winter to Spring. Throwing in a fewwww light colors, here and there (personally, I think pink and gray and beautiful, as are pink and black), as time goes on. Obviously, the strapless dress, sandals, and white cardigan I wore today might be seen as a little much for still under 60 degree weather (by a hair, I swear!), but c’mon, what’s a girl to do?!

A- So funny, I’m the complete opposite. I CAN wear springy clothes because its starting to heat up here in LA but I want to keep my winter clothes on. I do understand the importance of transition, so here is what I do and what I think you should do … layer!

If you have a spring dress that you are just dying to wear — wear it! Just wear it with some winter layers. Perhaps add some tights and a cozy cardigan to that dress. Or skip the tights and wear your spring floral dress with combat boots and a leather jacket. For every spring element add one or two winter elements … at least until the weather over there starts heating up.

Lucky for you, it is officially spring so you can wear those spring outfits without looking too crazy.
