I got this hot pink Pleasure Doing Business skirt in the mail last week. I had this whole outfit planned when I bought the skirt but the outfit didn’t work out once I put it on. I wanted to pair it with this Wildfox tee, ankle booties, and a leather jacket. Well, the top looked funny (turns out I don’t really like the shirt that much) and the skirt was a little too tight. Seriously, my circulation was cut off.
I felt defeated by fashion. I wanted to throw the skirt and the top away in the garbage. Not really, I would never do that to brand new clothes but that’s the kind of reaction I was having. I decided to be rational and give both pieces another chance. I put the skirt on my dress form to give the elastic a chance to stretch and I put the shirt back in the drawer.
So here we are a week later. I popped the skirt off of the dress form, and what do you know … it fits perfectly now. I gave up on making that top with the skirt and ended up with the outfit above. I actually really like it. I’ve already snagged a compliments or two on my outfit already.
