Los Angeles stylist, Lauren Messiah graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2003 with a major in Fashion Design. After learning that the design world wasn’t her cup of tea, like most college grads Lauren took to the retail scene and began work at Nordstrom. Working in the retail space allowed Lauren to sharpen her eye for creating looks and building relationships with clients.

Two years later Lauren took her fashion know-how online by creating a website where young woman could virtually be styled by Lauren herself. That online move propelled Lauren’s online fashion career. In 2007, Lauren became the fashion editor at This Next (a social shopping website) and a contributing editor for AOL’s Style Dash.

The online world was fast-paced and fun but Lauren missed the days of actually playing with clothes, not just looking at them online. So she quit her day job and decided to put all of her efforts into styling. In 2009, Lauren began assisting celebrity stylists in Hollywood and then started taking on her own celebrity clients. Working on editorial photo shoots, music videos, look books, commercials, and television appearances was a wonderful and surreal experience but something was missing …

Then something happened! “Real” woman began complimenting Lauren on her dynamic personal style and inquired about being styled by her. Lauren began taking on clients and loved it! This was the answer, her calling. Being able to change women’s lives through fashion was exactly what Lauren was looking for in a career.

Lauren is a trained and certified personal stylist through Stacy London’s – from TLC’s What Not to Wear- Style for Hire network. Lauren is also the President of School Of Style, the world’s first school for wardrobe stylists.

Lauren is currently based in Los Angeles.
