Lauren began her career in styling working with some of Hollywood’s top celebrity and fashion stylists. After acquiring priceless information through her assisting experience, Lauren struck out her own as a key stylist working with celebrities, styling look books and fashion editorials. Then something magical happened. The women who worked behind the scenes on these celebrity jobs began requesting Lauren’s styling services for themselves and a new career was birthed.
But let’s back up because Lauren’s fashion experience goes back much further than her days of working with celebrity stylists. This Washington DC girl got her fashionable foot in the door way before she even knew anything about Hollywood.
After creating countless high fashion frocks for her Barbie’s and eventually making actual human garments for her high school fashion shows. Lauren received her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Fashion Design from Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of the Arts. Post graduation, Lauren found that design wasn’t really for her and started work at Nordstrom and for fashion designer Betsey Johnson.
In 2005, Lauren took her fashion know-how to the web (and to Los Angeles) by creating her own blog where she “virtually” styled teens. Her blog caught the eye of some really cool business people and she parlayed this online knowledge into a career in marketing by working for various online start-ups.
It wasn’t long before the 9-5 life wore our fashion girl out. Lauren had the burning desire to style, shop, and to help people one on one. That is when she quit her job to pursue her dream of becoming a stylist.
Which brings us back to today. In addition to styling her clients who come from amazing companies like FOX, CBS, HBO, Lifetime, Warner Brothers, and Nickelodeon – Lauren is currently a stylist for Westfield Mall and is one of the faces of their fall/winter campaign. Lauren is also a style expert for the site eHow Style.
In 2011, Lauren became a certified personal stylist through Stacy London’s – from TLC’s What Not to Wear- Style for Hire network. Lauren is also the president and an instructor at School Of Style, the world’s first school for wardrobe stylists.
Lauren currently resides in the Hollywood Hills with her insane collection of designer shoes, which she obviously got a deal on each and every pair
